Welcome to the STM Volunteer Page!

The STM PTO is excited to roll out our brand new volunteer reporting program.  With this simple, web-based software, the PTO will allow the PTO to recruit volunteers, assign them to events, track their hours, and even manage visitors coming in to the school.

FAMILY REQUIREMENT IS 20 HOURS or $300 (balance due in June 2017)  $15 in donations = 1 volunteer hour.

The #1 requirement of you right now is to REGISTER AS A VOLUNTEER!!  Please click on Log In/Register in the upper right corner of your screen to access your account. We recommend bookmarking this log in page on your computer.  Once you click the "Register Me Now" button, you will immediately receive a message that the account has been created. You can then click on "My Info," enter your user name and password, and complete your profile information. Here you will also be able to designate whether you'd like to be included in the student directory, select your interests, add your child/ren, etc.  By selecting "My Profile," volunteers will be able to add or delete your own profile information, view and edit your hours, and manage which events you have signed up for.

  • Your child benefits
  • We make a difference
  • We pledge to honor your time constraints
  • We have fun
  • You will meet nice people who share your concerns
  • There is a lot to be done
  • We can match jobs to your interests and abilities
  • We're welcoming
  • We're about parent involvement and community....NOT fundraising
  • This work is very rewarding.

When parents get connected to the school, children do better. Research shows children whose parents are involved get better grades, do better on tests, and have fewer discipline problems at school.  As the STM PTO, we want to give you as many opportunities -- big or small, time-consuming or not -- to volunteer.

In order to be a volunteer within the school (pizza lunch, classroom helper, room parent) or for roles such as scout leader, sports coach, field trip chaperone, etc., you must be VIRTUS Trained. All hopeful volunteers must attend a "Protecting God's Children" session, and then fill out the appropriate background check/paperwork - available via the STM School office. Once the office has record of your session attendance, and the paperwork has been received, you are granted the ability to volunteer in the school. Family-based events (such as the International Festival, Breakfast with Santa and Hot Dog Bash) do not require Virtus Trained volunteers, as the children's parents are on-site. Questions?
